The Association of the Holy Family is a group of Christian families, approved by the Holy See, which through the consecration to the Holy Family, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, intends to be a community of disciples, witnesses and apostles of Nazareth.
FORMULA OF CONSECRATION
FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Lord, Jesus Christ, You enlightened the human family
with Your teaching and example.
In the dwelling place of Nazareth, You spent the greater part
of Your earthly existence in submission to Mary and Joseph,
teaching what life, love and work are really all about.
Accept, Lord Jesus, with Mary and Joseph,
this your disciple family consecrating itself to You today.
Watch over us as Your very own.
Help us to learn and respect what is true, good and holy.
Weave into our family relationships trust, compassion
and understanding, forgiveness, reconciliation and peace.
May the spirit of caring always shine through our words and deeds.
As we strive to model as a family your own domestic virtues,
may we live faithfully our vocation to love and the service of life.
Blessed Mary, Mother of Christ and of the Church,
you are also mother of our homes.
Make this act of consecration acceptable to Christ, your Son.
Let it be the first step in transforming our family into a holy family,
and our home into a new Nazareth.
Saint Joseph, guardian of Jesus and Mary,
lead us safely through life toward that Eternal Nazareth
of everlasting life and love where Father, Son and Holy Spirit
are one God, forever and ever.
