FORMULA OF CONSECRATION

FOR A DISCIPLE OF THE HOLY FAMILY

 

In the name of the Father,

and of the Son,

and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

 

God, Father of mercies,

I give You thanks for having called me

through Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ,

to be your son/daughter.

You willed that your Son, Jesus Christ,

in becoming man, should be born into a human family,

and so, through Him, in Nazareth,

You inaugurated your kingdom in our midst,

announced the Good News to the world,

sanctified the love of spouses

and the obedience of sons and daughters,

and proposed the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

the first church of the home,

as a model for all families.

 

I, N. N. .................................................,

prompted by the desire to serve You in the Church

and to live increasingly for Christ,

consecrate to You my life for one year,

as a Disciple of Nazareth.

I will welcome into my home the Holy Family of Nazareth,

and I will pray daily the Liturgy of the Hours

with the whole Church of Christ,

so as to better model the lifestyle that Jesus,

together with Mary and Joseph,

chose to live in Nazareth.

 

So help me, Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
